Concerning their faith in God, have you ever heard someone say, “I just don’t believe it’s so, I ‘Know’ it’s so?” Maybe they are referring to God hearing their prayer or a promise in the Bible they are trusting. Then you ask yourself, “How can they be so confident to know ‘it’ when I am struggling just to believe ‘it’”. Inwardly you may feel a little envious of their faith.
The answer is fairly simple. Although the application does take an exercise of faith, the increased confidence in God is well worth the exercise.
1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of
the Son of God.
John tells us why he wrote this epistle to those who already believe in Jesus:
…that ye may know that you have eternal life…
He wrote this letter to move them from believing to knowing.
Let’s put two phrases of this verse together:
…these things have I written unto you…that ye may know.
We can KNOW we have eternal life by believing in the written word alone. In other words, the word is our evidence. We ‘believe’ SO that we may ‘know’.
Know what? Know that we have. Believing produces knowing, that we NOW have eternal life. Not later when we get to heaven, but we know that we have it now.
…that ye may know that you have eternal life…
This truth works for any of God’s promises, including forgiveness and healing.
As you believe and receive healing, through a promise in God’s word, you can know that you have healing now - based upon what is written. And God’s word never fails.
Go ahead and practice this today!

Do You Know God's Will For Dogs and Sheep?
I watched a TV show this morning called Animal Rescue. This episode featured the rescue of a dog that had fallen into a dark dreary well. The well was about 30 deep and only two feet in diameter. Many people in this small farm town came to the dog's rescue - fire department, sheriff and neighbors. Then a large truck pulled up equipped with a sophisticated camera. It allowed the rescuers to see the dogs position at the bottom of the well. The ill-fated dog looked weak, scared and helpless.
Using ropes and nets they tried and tried to extract the poor animal to no avail. The dog's fate appeared bleak.
I could not help but remember in Matthew 12 the story about Jesus who healed a man that had a withered hand. The religious leaders challenged him by asking if it was lawful to heal on the Sabbath day. Jesus responded by asking them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?" The answer being an obvious yes; Jesus then asked, "How much then is a man better than a sheep?"
I believe an answer to this rhetorical question, that challenged the religious leaders then, will help get some bad religious ideas out of us today. Now Jesus didn't say that a sheep wasn't valuable and a man is. A sheep is valuable. But a man who is created in the image of God is far better than a sheep who was created for man.
Jesus teaches us in this lesson how WILLING God is for us to be healed and delivered. How willing? Just as or more willing than you are to deliver your pet when it is in trouble. Knowing how willing God is to heal us makes receiving healing so much easier.
Well, the rescuers finally got a rope around the dogs neck and pulled him to safety. The owner was happy, the rescue people were happy, the townspeople were happy, and guess what - so was the dog.
Are you better than a sheep or a dog? Jesus believes you are. He died for you so that you would be saved from the pit of hell and delivered from your diseases. He is so willing to heal you. Go ahead and receive. God will be happy, your family will be happy, and so will you.

You Are Called To Minister To The Sick - Yea You
Sometimes we think that it takes a special calling to minister to people. Here in Matthew 25, Jesus makes ministry a way of life.
“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.” (Mt 25:34-40 AV)
Out of love for him and others we should reach out to those in need. As we minister to others we are actually ministering to Jesus - to his body.
If your son is away at war, in prison, or sick in the hospital in a foreign country, and someone blesses them with help of some kind; are they not blessing you by helping your son in your sted?
Php 2:4 Look not every man on his own things,
but every man also on the things of others.

Get God's Answer Before You Pray
Wouldn't it be great to get an answer to a petition prayer before we pray. Well, in a way we can. We can know how God will respond to our request - how he will answer our prayer - Yes or no.
Look at how Jairus petitioned Jesus to heal his daughter.
Look at how Jairus petitioned Jesus to heal his daughter.
Mr 5:23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter
lieth at the point of death: [I pray thee], come and lay thy hands
on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
He told Jesus what the result would be when he answered his prayer to lay hands on his daughter - "She may be healed; and she shall live".
Jairus heard the good news that Jesus healed people, even multitudes of people that came to him in reverence and faith. To him, God's will was clear. He knew Jesus response before he even asked. That is why he was so bold to tell Jesus what the result would be of him laying his hands on his daughter - "be healed and live".
Jesus did go with Jairus and heal is daughter.
God's word is his will and his will is his willingness.
God's word says in James 5:15 That the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up.
There is the answer to your prayer. You pray the prayer of faith and the Lord SHALL heal you.
Start with the answer and you will have great confidence when you ask God for healing or whatever else is His will for you.
